The Board of Management shall be the principal executive body of the University and, as such, shall have all powers necessary to administer the University subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes made there under, and may make ordinances and regulations for that purpose and also with respect to matters provided hereunder.
The Board of Management shall consist of the following persons, namely: -
- The Vice-Chancellor of the University.
- Three eminent persons in education, teacher education and cognate discipline, nominated by the Government.
- Two Deans of the University nominated by the Vice-Chancellor on rotation as per seniority.
- One Professor, one Associate Professor and one Assistant Professor of the University nominated by the Vice-Chancellor on rotation as per seniority.
- A representative from a teacher education department of a university, nominated by the Government.
- Principal Secretary (Finance) to the Government or his nominee.
- Principal Secretary or Secretary (Higher Education) to the Government ex-officio.
- Principal Secretary or Secretary (School Education) to the Government ex-officio.
- such other member or members as may be prescribed by the Statutes.
